CHC Australia
WorldWeb has provided software solutions to the the Australian arm of CHC since 2002, with development of the company intranet. Since the first system was established, it has been progressively expanded to include several key systems:
- Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) allows technicians in the field to log avionics faults into a database, and have these faults automatically compared and reported to relevant parties. The system also tracks any dialogue associated with each fault until such time as the fault is rectified and the record closed. At that point the application maintains a complete HUMS archive which may be used by CASA during a government audit.
- The Pilot Logbook and Allowances System is mission critical for CHC: it provides detailed flight scheduling computation (to relevant aviation standards), aircraft maintenance schedules and controls HR requirements such as salary, entitlements and allowances.
Development of this web-based software is ongoing, with several new modules due for launch in the near future. So far, CHC has achieved a reduction in costs via elimination of duplication of effort for data entry and increasing the rate of flow and availability of data throughout the organisation and its clients.
Recently, WorldWeb has produced a full Roster Management solution, which integrates with the Pilot Logbook System to provide a full scheduling and rostering system for Pilots. This system drives the core HR requirements for CHC.
Additional development is currently underway and includes and full redevelopment of the Flight and Duty Systems and a corporate Intranet based on SharePoint.
