With 12 retail stores and a Clearance Centre, plus both a Commercial and Service Division in South West and regional Brisbane, R.T. Edwards offers its customers a unique shopping experience.

Client Objective
Prior to contacting WorldWeb, RTE’s digital strategy and online appeal was virtually non-existent. The static, brochure-like website was at odds with their size, range and success, not to mention bland…

Their immediate need was to elevate their brand and profile, expose their extensive product range and implement tools and calls to action that generated enquiry and in-store visits/sales.  In addition, rental services was being launched for the first time and needs proper consideration and elevation.

Importantly, RTE needed a solution that they could manage and control in house with long-term growth and flexibility in platform to expand the functions or design of the site.


The Solution
Like all web projects, we needed to understand the audience and their needs.  The home page needed to rich and engaging without comprising ease of use. The home page is highly productive and communicates the wide range of products and services using onscreen transitions and navigation.

Naturally, products are the core attraction for the website so the journey through the range had to be seamless and logical.  Unbeknown to the visitor, the product detail information displayed on the screen is dynamically being s sourced from 2 separate data locations.  For product code and pricing and on-special tags, this information came from the RTE POS system while the imagesd and production specification data is source from a 3rd party provide who specializes in serving this content.

With product data sourced, our role was to provide tools and features to show the products in their best light.  We did this through dynamic product filtering, image gallery, compare function and add to wishlist.
